Source Compile Cadence

source-compile is the four-hour compiler that turns raw captures, X bookmarks, local sessions, and repeated agent friction into durable wiki and skill updates.

This cadence is promotion-oriented. It is not a digest generator. Raw material becomes durable only when it changes future behavior, context, routing, skills, projects, decisions, or understanding. Source: automations/source-compile.md; Source Compile Workflow

Run Inputs

  • scripts/sync-x-bookmarks.sh
  • scripts/enrich-x-bookmarks.ts
  • scripts/download-x-bookmark-media.ts
  • scripts/export-ai-sessions.sh
  • enriched records under raw/x-bookmarks/
  • local AI session exports
  • state.json compile markers

Durable Outputs

Signal Target
Tool/repo/paper/API that changes future work Tool, project, concept, research, active-stack, or routing page.
Repeated agent friction Existing skill, new skill, workflow, or meta protocol.
Project status or decision Project, decision, workflow, or log page.
Low-signal one-off Deferral or output-only note.

State Rules

Update syncs.x_bookmarks when sync succeeds. Update compile.last_bookmark_* only when records through that marker were processed or explicitly deferred. Update automations.source-compile when the scheduled check completes.

Call markAbsorbed() for compiled raw sources so stale-source alerts stop surfacing already-processed material.
