FMHY
Volunteer-run directory of free media and internet resources. Useful as an open-web indexing case study, not as an agent default for sourcing copyrighted media.
FMHY is a large VitePress-style directory for "free stuff on the internet." The reviewed screenshot shows the live site with a left navigation for categories such as adblocking/privacy, AI, movies, music, gaming, books, downloading, torrenting, education, Android/iOS, Linux/macOS, non-English, and miscellaneous. The visible movie section includes an explicit tip about checking grading pages, using adblockers, VPNs, and throwaway or alias emails. Source: local artifact, 2026-06-30
The durable lesson is about index infrastructure. A volunteer index can become more useful than search for a narrow class of resources because it adds human curation, categories, status notes, mirrors, and practical safety annotations. That is the same shape Kevin's wiki uses for tools and bookmarks: raw links become a maintained directory with synthesis, version checks, aliases, and warnings.
Use With Care
FMHY should stay a reference page, not an agent route. The site includes media and piracy-adjacent categories; agents should not use it to locate or facilitate unauthorized copyrighted content. The value for Kevin's stack is the directory pattern, the curation UX, the search-delisting story, and the reminder that useful internet knowledge often lives outside Google-indexed surfaces.
Version Snapshot
FMHY has no public package version. Current source authority is:
| Surface | Snapshot |
|---|---|
| Website | https://fmhy.net live, verified 2026-06-30; generated with VitePress v1.6.4. |
| Site repo | fmhy/FMHY, main HEAD 8af7be5e4f120b953b92b5766a4ff404b76b2b3e, 13,249 stars, no GitHub release. |

Stack Fit
Do not add FMHY to the active tool stack. If a task asks for free/open-source alternatives, use Actionable Tools Index, official docs, GitHub, package registries, and primary project sites first. If FMHY appears as a source, treat it like any other secondary directory: verify the actual target directly, avoid copyrighted-media facilitation, and record why the target is legitimate.
