What It Is
Sherlock is a Python CLI that checks whether a username exists on hundreds of social platforms, forums, and sites. It outputs found accounts to text, CSV, or JSON. The project ships with a maintained site list, proxy support, and Docker packaging. Source: github.com/sherlock-project/sherlock, 2026-06-01
Install via pipx install sherlock-project, Homebrew, or Docker. Official docs at sherlockproject.xyz include an llms.txt index for agent discovery. Source: sherlockproject.xyz, 2026-06-01

The local artifact is the GitHub README hero: Sherlock logo, "Hunt down social media accounts by username across 400+ social networks," install/usage links, and a terminal demo. This matches the maintained upstream docs and does not add a separate install surface. Source: local X artifact review, 2026-06-30
Why It Matters for Kevin's Stack
Agent Reach covers live search and read on Twitter, Reddit, GitHub, and the web. Sherlock fills the username enumeration gap: given a handle, map where that identity appears across the long tail of platforms Agent Reach does not expose as first-class channels. Useful for recruiter discovery, person-page enrichment, and security research workflows paired with Security and Review Skills. Source: compiled from agent-reach.md, sherlock README
The executable route is already in agent-reach under "Username OSINT." Do not create a duplicate Sherlock skill unless Kevin starts repeating a longer handle-enrichment workflow with output normalization, person-page merge rules, and privacy checks.
Usage
pipx install sherlock-project
sherlock user123
sherlock user1 user2 user3 --csv
